it ticks all the boxes - with a quad rear camera, full-HD + display and up to 128GB of storage, Xiaomi has brought the Redmi Note 8 Pro with a MediaTek chipset.

It was a strange move by the Chinese company which holds the record for launching smartphones with Qualcomm chips.

Nevertheless, the company is now planning to bring the Redmi Note 8 Pro with the new SoC to attract customers looking for a new Snapdragon-powered smartphone.

Update: Xiaomi India marketing head Anuj Sharma on Saturday denied the Redmi Note 8 Pro rumor on Twitter.

A Xiaomi-focussed tipster who posts undisclosed events via Twitter account Xiaomishka has claimed that Xiaomi phones carrying model numbers M1912G7BE and M1912G7BC have surfaced on the China Communications Commission (3C) database. It has been said to be the Redmi Note 8 Pro powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G SoC.

One of the reported model numbers was previously speculated to be the rumored Poco F2K. Nevertheless, Xiaomi has not yet officially confirmed that development.

With the Snapdragon 730G SoC, Xiaomi will be able to bring the Redmi Note 8 Pro to the likes of Realme X2,

which will arrive in India in December as the Realme XT 730G. However, it is not clear whether the Chinese company will unveil the new Redmi Note 8 Pro variant in India, where the MediaTek Helio G90T is the SoC-powered model since last month.

Along with the Snapdragon-powered Redmi Note 8 Pro, Tipper claims that the Redmi K30 with model number M1911U2E will launch in December. The smartphone will come with 5G support and is said to have MediaTek SoC.

If we follow the recent teaser, the Redmi K30 will come with dual hole-punch display and dual band 5G support. Xiaomi is also expected to bring the Redmi K30 Pro next year - as an upgrade to the Redmi K30.
